  You are greater!

Here's one quote from Henry Ford I love:
"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal."

I recently participated in a board braking exercise where I broke a board with my bear hand. It was so clear to me as I was preparing to put my hand though the one inch thick piece of a wood board that when I looked at the board I could not get past it. When I looked past it to where I wanted my hand to go I put my hand right through it. I did this exercise at a James Ray weekend event and James kept saying “your going to go through it like a piece of tissue paper" and I did.

So if getting where we want to go in life is all about how we think about and see our destination, where do you want to go and how easy will it be for you to get there? How focused can you stay on your destination? Who can help you?

As a teacher and practitioner of yoga it is a pleasure for me to focus on my breathing and the movement of my body and I love encouraging others to do the same. I find that yoga practice is a great metaphor for life and a healthy and positive way to be focused and present even when the mind tries to wander away from you goal.
If you are having trouble getting where you want to go try a more simple goal; focusing on your breathing. Maybe do few rounds of this exercises:
Sit comfortably allow your awareness to turn with in. Begin to be aware of your breathing. Notice the air filling your lungs and notice it evacuating. Breath through your nose allowing a stream of air to pass by the back of your throat, as you slightly constrict it making a sound of a whisper or the ocean as is passes. This is what we call in yoga Ujjayi breathing.
Continue this breath and now at the top of the inhale hold it for 10 seconds and release it slowly and then hold the exhale at the bottom for 10 seconds. Do this breath retention for ten rounds and notice when you are done what the quality of your energy is. You will feel focused, strong and powerful as you have just focused on you life force for the last few minutes. The ask your self what do I really want then stay focused on it and achieve it. You are greater than any obstacle!

To help your self focus on your highest value buy a set of Deep Peace Earrings.
